Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What does “Nemo non Paratus” mean?
A. “Nemo non Paratus” is our company motto. Translated
from Latin, it means “nobody unprepared.” It represents
our belief that any law-abiding citizen who wishes to
should be able to access quality, affordable defensive
firearms training.
Q. Are there any discounts available for your
classes?
A. Absolutely. Safety South offers a variety of
discounts. We have discount programs available for
Senior Citizens, military and public safety personnel
and their families, and educators. We also offer a
“Family and Friends” team discount for the Handgun Carry
Permit Course. This means sign up with a parent, spouse,
friend, or co-worker, and receive a 10% group discount.
Safety South also offers an Alumni discount. After you
take one of our classes, you’re eligible for a discount
for every subsequent class.
Q. I’m a woman, and I’m a little nervous about how
I’d fit in in a “co-ed” gun class. What are my options?
A. No problem. Safety South offers ladies only
versions of both the FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation and
the Handgun Carry Permit course. These classes are
designed to be safe, fun, and educational while offering
a low stress environment. These classes have no
male students, and will always have at least 1 female
instructor or range safety officer participating.
Q. I don’t own a gun. Can I still take a class?
A. Definitely. In fact, it is often better to wait
to buy a gun until after you've had some training.
During your class, we'll be happy to discuss some
handgun choices with you. For range exercises, we
have rental handguns available (ammunition included) for
just $40.
